Wow!  A wonderful Sunday afternoon was had by 80+ music lovers at the stately Silvermine School of Music with Wenjie Lu!  See a little snippet of his performance HERE!

Born in Qingdao, China, Wenjie Lu began playing the piano at the age of five. He was admitted into the Middle School and Attached to the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing, studying with Professor, Jin Zhang. He made his concerto debut in Guangzhou in 2005.

Wenjie was the state winner of MTNA Young Artist Piano Competition in 2011 and won first prize at the Heida Hermanns International Piano Competition in 2015. His artistry has carried him to venues in Europe, Asia and America, including a solo recital debut in Carnegie Weill Hall.

Wenjie received Bachelor’s degree at Capital University with Dr. Tianshu Wang and Master’s degree from Eastman School of Music. He is currently a candidate for a Doctoral of Musical Art degree in piano performance and literature at Eastman, studying with Professor Barry Snyder.
