Diane Kalinowski is “an artist that stands out, possessing an enormous voice of fine quality” and a “major talent in the making.” She won the Top 3 of 10 prizes at Annapolis Opera’s Voice Competition, Top Prize at Opera Connecticut’s American Opera Idol Competition, and Grand Prize in Rochester Lyric Opera’s LaDue Competition. She was a Top 5 Finalist in The Elizabeth Connell Prize, an international competition for aspiring dramatic sopranos. Favorite roles include the title roles in Tosca and Suor Angelica, Marguerite (Faust), Lady Billows (Albert Herring), New Prioress (Dialogues of the Carmelites), and Gretel (Hansel and Gretel).
